Withdrawal Information
For consumers entering into distance contracts for services
Version 1.0 | 4 September 2026
1. Right of withdrawal
If you enter into a distance contract with Get Your Lightshow as a Consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from the service contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the service contract is concluded.
2. How to exercise the right
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform Get Your Lightshow of your decision by a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.

You may use the model withdrawal form in Section 7, but use of that form is not mandatory. An email containing a clear statement is sufficient.
3. Request to begin work during the withdrawal period
Get Your Lightshow normally begins work only after the required initial payment and required Project materials have been received.
If you are a Consumer and you want work to begin before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended, Get Your Lightshow will require an express request from you to begin performance during that period.
That request must be made separately and must not be assumed from silence or from a pre-ticked box.
4. Withdrawal after work has begun
If you expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period and you then withdraw before the service has been fully performed, you may be required to pay an amount proportionate to the part of the service already provided when you communicated your withdrawal.
The proportionate amount is calculated by reference to the total agreed price and the part of the contracted service already performed, subject to mandatory applicable law.
5. Completion of the service and loss of the withdrawal right
For a paid service, the statutory withdrawal right may cease once the service has been fully performed where performance began with your prior express consent/request and you acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal once the service had been fully performed.
The right is not lost merely because work has started. The legal conditions for loss of the right must be satisfied.
6. Refund following withdrawal
Where a valid withdrawal is exercised, any refund due will be made in accordance with mandatory applicable law.
If you validly requested early commencement and a proportionate amount is due for work already performed, that amount may be deducted from the refund or otherwise charged as permitted by law.
7. Model withdrawal form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. You may instead send any other clear written statement.
