Defined-Scope Lighting Design

Lighting Design for Scenic Theatre

Professional lighting design for scenic theatre productions whose visual requirements can be developed around a clearly defined number of major lighting states.

Designed for

When this service fits

This service is suited to productions that can share major lighting states across several script scenes. A play may contain ten, twelve or more dramatic scenes and still fit the scope when recurring locations or situations reuse the same underlying lighting design.

Clear scope

What it is not

The defined scope does not include a full production-wide lighting dramaturgy. Detailed cue-by-cue design, complete technical cue lists, console programming, showfiles, complex moving-light choreography, extensive touring documentation and on-site operation are outside the defined scope.

Selected deliverable examples

See how the scenic lighting design is translated into practical production documents.

These examples are taken directly from the Sleeping Beauty demonstration project and show the actual structure of the client deliverables.
